CAPN successfully conducted a two-day Financial Workshop on 3 and 6 July 2026 as part of its ongoing team-building and organizational capacity-strengthening initiatives. The workshop brought together staff from across the organization to enhance their understanding of donor-level budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and organizational financial management. Through interactive discussions, participants explored key financial concepts, budgeting approaches, donor compliance requirements, cash flow management, and the integration of project budgets into CAPN's overall financial framework, fostering a shared understanding of financial processes across departments.
The second day focused on strengthening participants' practical skills through demonstrations of digital tools, including NotebookLM and collaborative Microsoft Excel, followed by hands-on budget planning exercises. Discussions also covered project budgeting, financial projections, activity prioritization, and aligning budgets with CAPN's mission and future organizational objectives. The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening internal financial systems, promoting transparency and accountability, and enhancing cross-departmental collaboration to support the effective implementation of CAPN's programs and long-term organizational sustainability.
