In 2023, CAPN conducted one training of trainers and five advocacy workshops for individuals with lived experience of discriminatory citizenship laws. The training in Kathmandu included 12 participants from seven districts, while the workshops were held individually in five districts, engaging 114 affected persons from over 15 neighboring districts.
These sessions aimed to build solidarity, convey unity in the pursuit of equal citizenship rights, and enhance understanding of laws and practices denying citizenship based on discrimination. The strength, empathy, and solidarity shared during each workshop were exceptionally powerful.
