Our Work

Social Awareness

CAPN has covered several components of social awareness by conducting programs like school outreach, youth engagement, day celebrations, awareness through social media handles, and so forth. To be more specific, the school outreach program has been CAPN’s long-term flagship program, which it intends to further develop and involve as as many children, youths, teachers and parents as possible. Another significant activity is CAPN’s Visual Podcast called ‘State of Statelessness – SoS’. While the first season released 12 podcast episodes with people with lived experience, learned experience, lawyers, and experts, CAPN seeks to give continuation to this highly appreciated program. In 2024, CAPN aims to expand its social awareness area by increasing its engagement with the mainstream media, with lawyers, and with social organizations that will help amplify the campaign. Furthermore, we plan to strategically mark all the special days for larger activism – for instance, the Women’s Day, 16 Days Activism, Childhood Statelessness, and Awareness Month. CAPN is excited to go creative in 2024 to secure grassroots-level awareness because we believe that a transformative change can only be acquired when social narrative changes. Some ideas along this line involves –flash mobs, vox pop, podcast, slam poetry nights, and so forth. In the coming year, CAPN would swiftly move to build networking, and connections, and work together with like-minded organizations, activists, lawyers, and civil society organizations.
