Safe Haven

Safe Haven is one of the significant components that has been designed to serve the needs of the person affected without citizenship. Under Safe Haven, CAPN has been facilitating, supporting, and carrying out legal aid programs for the person affected. CAPN has also been providing regular counseling to the affected person, keeping mental health as a special consideration. Until today, CAPN has successfully acquired the citizenship of more than 100 Legal Advocacy Social/Legal Awareness Safe Haven for affected people. In 2023 itself CAPN has strengthened the capacity of more than 66 affected persons. Under Safe Haven, CAPN aspires to reach more impacted persons and strengthen their capacity to advocate the challenges faced by them as a result of discriminatory nationality laws and build their narrative. Annual in-person convening of impacted persons is also the organization’s pipeline project which would be swiftly taken off after the availability of resources. The convening would bring together as many affected people and reconnect them with one another and set their declaration. Under this objective, CAPN aspires to link the affected person with the desired resources. For example: skill development training like bakery, gardening, salon, designing, home décor, or anything that the affected person wants to uphold. The basic essence of this objective is to create a safe space for the affected person where they can identify their potential and caliber in a dignified manner – alongside fighting for their legal identity.
