CAPN recently organized a Stakeholder Meeting with the participation of affected community members, CAPN team members, and board representatives to introduce its blueprint of the paralegal program, a novel idea based on CAPN’s years of interaction with affected individuals and the community at large. Held at Tewa Nepal, Dhapakhel, the meeting served as an important platform to secure active and meaningful participation of affected individuals in further designing and modeling the paralegal program, later named as Sahayatri Initiative. The meeting included interactive feedback sessions, allowing participants to share reflections, raise concerns, and offer recommendations to strengthen the initiative. The engagement fostered a sense of shared ownership and reinforced CAPN’s commitment to inclusive, community-driven advocacy and long-term empowerment. The discussion provided immense support in developing comprehensive manuals for the initiative, including the Training Manual and Referral Manual. The sessions provided clarity on the program’s structure, objectives, and expected impact in supporting citizenship-affected communities through improved legal awareness and accessible support mechanisms.
